Diamond drill bits are drilling tools that use natural or artificial diamonds as cutting teeth. They are fixed onto the surface of the drill bit body through an embedding process and are mainly used for breaking medium-hard to hard rock layers.
Diamond drill bits are divided into two types: exposed-particle type and embedded-particle type. The exposed-particle type uses exposed diamond particles to directly cut the rock, and is suitable for medium-hard to hard rock formations; the embedded-particle type embeds the diamond particles inside the body and works through fracturing and shearing combined rock-breaking methods.
It is mainly applicable to V-VID grade hard rock formations such as carbonate rocks and granite, and performs exceptionally well in fields like petroleum exploration and geological drilling.
